YES, it can!
Studies have shown that women with PCOS have a huge decrease in symptoms/side affects and their cycles are regulated by Acupuncture treatments and/or Chinese Medicine.
Here’s some articles about the subject:

Now before you get nervous, NO acupuncture does not hurt. I did it for quite a while, until it we moved to another state. I noticed immediate results. Not only did it help my circulation and cycles, but it DRAMATICALLY decreased the stress/tension I was experiencing while going through infertility treatments. The room has a spa like atmosphere, so relaxing and calming. Sometimes quite music is played in the background to help the client relax, sometimes the room is darkened just slightly…. It all depends on your acupuncturist.
The needles are so small, you cannot usually feel them. And if you do feel them, its nothing like the feeling of blood being drawn, or shots/vaccines. A lot of women avoid acupuncture treatment due to their fear of needles, however I strongly recommend it due to the amazing benefits it brings us. If you tell the doctor you are a bit nervous, they are incredibly patient and calming…. they don’t rush you. They’ll explain what they’re doing, why they’re doing it, and what it will benefit. They insert the needles into specific points to help PCOS issues, then you lay there, nice and comfy…. and did I mention RELAXED???? A short time later, the doctor returns and removes them. No mess, no fuss.
If your symptoms are driving you crazy, and the stress you are feeling from everyday life, trying to have a baby, or just in dealing with PCOS, I strongly recommend you look into this. Once you try it, it will become a long term treatment for you. You feel the affects immediately, and they are long lasting. The stress reduction alone (which is especially important during infertility treatments) is a good enough reason for me!
