Endometrial blood flow is impaired in women with PCOS
Yet another symptom/problem of PCOS….A recent study shows that endometrial blood flow (circulation/blood flow to your reproductive organs, mostly your uterus) is often impaired in women who have PCOS and elevated testosterone levels (http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/19676066?ordinalpos=2&itool=Email.EmailReport.Pubmed_ReportSelector.Pubmed_RVDocSum)
This just adds to the list of complications involved when trying to become pregnant. If your circulation is poor, it is nearly impossible to sustain a pregnancy, possibly leading to the increased miscarriage rates of women with PCOS.
Like nearly all PCOS related issues, this too CAN be corrected. I’ve mentioned Self Fertility Massage/Castor Oil packs A NUMBER of times on this site. Not only because I have personally experienced the benefits, but because these two combined treatments offer such a HUGE benefit to women trying to concieve and women suffering from infertility issues (including PCOS, endometriosis, fibroids, etc.)
Another helpful treatment to increase circulation and blood flow is acupuncture. This too is exceptionally helpful to those with infertility issues because acupuncture not only addresses the circulation problem, but also controls many other issues related to PCOS and infertility. To find an acupuncturist in your area, visit AcuFinder.com
Again, being proactive and educating yourself is the best way to increase your fertility, and decrease the symptoms of PCOS.
