In IUI (intrauterine insemination) is a common infertility procedure performed by a RE or OB/GYN and is scheduled for women with PCOS (and women with other fertility issues) after a heavily medicated cycle (Clomid/Femara and injectable medications).

Studies have shown that women with PCOS have a huge decrease in symptoms/side affects and their cycles are regulated by Acupuncture treatments and/or Chinese Medicine.

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Aga Khan University Karachi Pakistan, Karachi, Pakistan performed a study on the safety and efficacy of long-term Metformin use in Pregnancy. This study was to evaluate pregnancy outcomes in women with PCOS who conceived while taking Metformin, and continued the medication during pregnancy.

In the previous post I reviewed the most common infertility protocol for women with PCOS. Clomid or Femara and monitoring throughout the cycle, and timed intercourse.
As you already know, things aren’t usually “easy” for us. Its quite rare that a medication/treatment works perfectly the first time, that’s just something we’ve come to accept I guess….

This is probably the most asked question in regards to PCOS. Can I get pregnant? Will I ever be able to have children? It is a scary thought for those of you who’ve always dreamed of a family. The thought of never being able to have children terrified me! The lack of information and education is what causes this misleading, and incorrect thought.
