Update, and apologies….

Hello ladies!

I wanted to step away from my normal posts to give an update, and as the title says, my apologies.

I have not been keeping up on my emails, questions, and even posts recently. I wondered if I should write and explain what was going on, as I wanted to be sensitive to ALL of you wonderful ladies, but I felt it was necessary to explain what has caused my extreme slow responses, and lack of “upkeep” (including newsletters) on the site.

We recently found out we’re pregnant. It was by far a HUGE surprise as we were not yet actively trying. I was still working on losing weight, regulating my cycles, and getting my body set to try again….but God had different plans.

Its been a rough few months, we found out in July, but I’m getting to the end of the first trimester and things are “easing” slightly. The doctor put me on progesterone supplementation (as many PCOS’ers need during pregnancy) because my levels were low and those pills are the cause of most of my distress. They leave me gorked and out of it the majority of the day, making it difficult to keep up on the site, newsletters and TONS of emails I get. But I need to do what is necessary to keep the munchkin going ok. Thankfully, I only need to take them during my first trimester (as your placenta takes over during your second and starts producing enough progesterone for the remainder of the pregnancy). I’ll be 11 weeks this weekend, so a little over 1 week to go and I’ll be done with them – PHEW !!

So please, accept my apologies for not responding as quickly as I’d like to your emails, and for being nearly a month behind on the newsletter! Its not like me to be so behind, but I wanted to explain the reason so that you didn’t think I have forgotten you guys — that would never happen.

One last thing, many have asked me (especially since finding out about the pregnancy) what my herb regime was. I figured I’d share that with you guys in case you were interested. This pregnancy again was a huge surprise (a miracle in our eyes) and I give all the credit to God, and the herbal remedies I had been taking for the months previous to finding out.

The following are the herbs/natural remedies I had been taking/using 6 months prior to conceiving:

Fertility Blend for Women (this can take anywhere from 3-6 months to gain the full effects)
Reservatrol – exceptional antioxidant, excellent heart, blood pressure and blood vessel benefits
Royal Jelly/Bee Pollen/Propolis – excellent for improving egg quality
Apple Cider Vinegar – way too many benefits to list, however the most important for PCOS’ers is controlling weight, and neutralizing your pH levels (many with PCOS have highly acidic bodies which actually kills the sperm before they can even do their job)
Inositol – excellent for controlling Insulin resistance, and weight gain
Sx Fraction – excellent for controlling insulin resistance, weight gain and it provides amazing heart health benefits.

My main concern for writing this was causing upset or pain to those of you ttc. That is the last thing I want to do, as believe it or not I have been where you are. I have been blessed with 4, soon to be 5 children despite this debilitating condition. Again, the reasons are 1) God, 2) My never ending research and obsession for learning more about PCOS, and 3) Controlling my condition by natural/herbal remedies alone (completely staying away from the medications the doctors try to shove at us)

Thank you for your understanding, and I will be slowly catching up with all my emails and such very soon.

Many blessings to you,
Pamela (Fellow Cyster)
